RIPON RUNNERS CLUB WAS FORMED IN JUNE 1984 BY A GROUP OF LIKEMINDED PEOPLE WHO WERE ALL ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT RUNNING. SINCE THEN THE CLUB HAS STEADILY GROWN TO THE WELL RESPECTED CLUB IT IS NOW.

The Club now meets every Tuesday and Thursday evening at  Ripon Cricket Club pavilion on Studley Road, Ripon at 1830 hrs. Thursday is predominantly coaching night but all members are welcome. Ripon Runners welcome runners of all abilities from 16 upwards, male and female.
Sheila Boyde, ex International athlete, is coach to the club.
Membership is £18, including £3 England Athletics fee, with members in full time education paying £8. 
Join Ripon Runners. 

Road Running, Cross Country, Orienteering and Fell Running are all participated in by members. The Club is also affiliated to Claro Orienteers.

Club members are keen competitors in  the Harrogate and District Summer Road Race League.

Two races are organized by Ripon Runners each year, The Jolly Holly Jog 10k approx’, which pass through the National Trust's Studley Park and The Ripon 10 mile approx’ that passes through the Valley of the Seven Bridges and the Deer Park.
